Welcome to ChainReaction. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the ChainReaction website, mobile experiences, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by ChainReaction ("ChainReaction," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we will delete any account or content we discover to have been created by a child under 13. By using the Service you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and that your use complies with all applicable laws.
ChainReaction is a platform for discovering, rating, and reviewing menu items at restaurant chains. Users can submit ratings, written reviews, photos, and other contributions; earn badges; build personal rating journals; and view aggregated rankings. Some features are available without an account; contributing content requires a free account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, create multiple accounts to evade restrictions, or impersonate any person or entity. Notify us immediately at support@chainreactionhq.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
"User Content" means any content you submit, upload, post, or otherwise make available through the Service, including ratings, written reviews, comments, photos, videos, captions, item suggestions, profile information, and any feedback or ideas you send us.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By making User Content available through the Service, you grant ChainReaction and its successors, affiliates, contractors, and service providers a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, transferable, and sublicensable (through multiple tiers) license to host, store, cache, reproduce, copy, publish, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, transmit, modify, adapt (including for resizing, cropping, color correction, watermarking, and format conversion), translate, excerpt (in whole or in part), create derivative works from, incorporate into other works, analyze (including using machine learning and other automated systems), commercialize, and otherwise use your User Content, in any media now known or later developed, for any purpose related to operating, providing, improving, marketing, and promoting the Service or our business. This license includes the right to use your display name, username, profile picture, and the fact that you submitted the content for attribution.
The license you grant survives termination of your account or these Terms with respect to (a) User Content that has been shared with or copied by other users before removal and (b) aggregated, anonymized, or derivative materials created from your User Content.
You waive, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any moral rights or rights of attribution in your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that:
You are solely responsible for your User Content and for any consequences of submitting it. We do not pre-screen User Content and take no responsibility for it, but we may review and act on it as described below.

We may, at any time and in our sole discretion, with or without notice and without liability to you: (a) review, edit, remove, refuse to display, blur, watermark, or otherwise modify any User Content; (b) suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to all or part of the Service; (c) reclaim any username; and (d) preserve User Content and account information and disclose it as we deem necessary to comply with law or to protect the safety, rights, or property of ChainReaction, our users, or third parties. Reasons may include suspected violation of these Terms, suspected manipulation or fraud, legal requests, or operational, security, or business considerations.
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings or by contacting us. After deletion, copies of your User Content may persist in backups, caches, or in the accounts of other users with whom you shared content, and aggregated or anonymized data derived from your User Content may continue to be used.
The Service, including its software, design, layout, text we author, branding, logos, rankings, comparison summaries, AI-generated summaries, badges, and the selection and arrangement of all content, is owned by ChainReaction or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
Restaurant chain names, menu-item names, logos, packaging designs, and other marks referenced on the Service are the trademarks or trade dress of their respective owners. ChainReaction is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any chain or brand referenced on the Service unless expressly stated. We use such marks for purposes of nominative reference, identification, criticism, and commentary, and we do not grant you any rights in such third-party marks.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid-up, sublicensable, and transferable license to use them for any purpose without compensation or attribution to you.
ChainReaction respects intellectual-property rights and responds to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement consistent with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (the "DMCA"). If you believe content on the Service infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to copyright@chainreactionhq.com including: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information sufficient to locate it on the Service; (d) your contact information; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (f) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf. We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Counter-notices may be submitted to the same address.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for and do not endorse any third-party websites or content, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT, INCLUDING USER CONTENT, RANKINGS, COMPARISONS, AI-GENERATED SUMMARIES, NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION, ALLERGEN INFORMATION, AND PRICING, ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND ANY WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. We do not guarantee that menu items, ingredients, prices, availability, or nutritional or allergen information shown on the Service are current, accurate, or complete. Always confirm allergen, ingredient, and dietary information directly with the restaurant before consuming any item, especially if you have allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CHAINREACTION OR ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100) AND (B) THE TOTAL AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO CHAINREACTION IN THE TWELVE MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ChainReaction and its directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, and licensors from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your User Content; (b) your use of or access to the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, and excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Subject to the section below, you and ChainReaction agree to submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for any disputes not subject to arbitration.
You and ChainReaction agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that is not resolved by mutual agreement will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration provider, and not by class, representative, or consolidated proceedings. You and ChainReaction each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to legal@chainreactionhq.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. This section does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for intellectual-property infringement or unauthorized access to the Service.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (such as by posting the updated Terms on the Service or sending an email). Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of them. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, your sole remedy is to stop using the Service and delete your account.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies or notices we post on the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and ChainReaction regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign or transfer these Terms; we may assign them at any time without notice.
